Sketch a thon, February 20

Apparently I somehow skipped February 18th but now I'm not too sure if I want to go back and do it. We'll see. However, I did do February 20. And it's...another Disneyland layout. Those seem to be a dime a dozen in my albums. But, we do love our regular visits to Disneyland!

STAR

How cute is this baby? I know I say it every day, but the pictures every.single.day just slay me. He's ADORABLE.

Anyway, I digress. Over at the scrappiest I found an adorable sketch I couldn't wait to work with! Here's my take:

LOVE the Echo Park paper, the Basic Grey Bloomers and, OF COURSE, the baby!

Sketch a thon, February 16

Yes, another take on a sketch. This time I deviated a little from the sketch by omitting the circle that was used and I put a square there instead. Just felt right.

Anyway, I used some of the brand new Cosmo Cricket Social Club (LOVE LOVE LOVE!) to tell the story of Sawyer and tee ball. I think it really did a good job. I can't wait until more of the Social Club stuff shows up in my Studio Calico kit this month!

Sketch a thon, February 14

Lots going on around here! Had to take a few days off from sharing projects to create more projects!

That's right! A crop with friends on Thursday and Friday. In about 18 hours of cropping I got 24 pages done. SO very happy with that total. I made some pages I really like, had fun AND bought new product that I really wanted. (Can you say the new birthday line from Basic Grey AND a button maker tool from Epiphany Crafts?!) LOVE.

Anyway, I still want to share with you the rest of the sketch a thon layouts I made!

I always LOVE kraft cardstock, it's definitely my favorite. Jillibean soup knocks it out of the park every time and I'm IN LOVE with the Studio Calico wood veneer stars. And, the kid in the photos is just loveable!

Sketch a thon, February 13

On this fun sketch, I got to use some yummy new Cosmo Cricket Salt Air! LOVE this line, I've got my favorite piece saved for something special.

Anyway, fun pics, fun sketch, fun papers. Win all around!

Sketch a thon, February 11

Seriously, look at that baby! Don't you think he looks positively adorable?! Don't you think that these pictures were made for this sketch?

More of my wonderful Studio Calico kit, Candy Shoppe!

Sketch a thon, February 9

One of my absolute favorites, right here! LOVE these photos of Sawyer, and these papers are so sweet. I'm very happy with how this one turned out!

Sketch a thon, February 7

I was hoarding the last little bit of my Crate Paper rainbow paper and this layout seemed like a good fit!

Sketch a thon, February 5

For my take on this sketch, I was really looking forward to using the American Crafts goodies I'd been hanging onto for a little while. They certainly didn't disappoint!

Sketch a thon, February 3

Here's the layout I created with the Feb. 3 sketch. All about our puppy, Holly Golightly! I used some fun Basic Grey and made a layout I love!

My Sketch World's Sketch a thon

I don't know if I've mentioned it or not -- but -- I'm a new member of My Sketch World's design team! YAY ME! Very exciting as it's my very first foray into the world of design teams and I know it's going to be great.

So, to celebrate, I played along with MSW's Sketch a thon! I only did the scrapbook layouts, not the card layouts. I just can't get into cards. I mean, I've definitely made them. Right now, though, my brain is on layouts!

baby love

I know, 3 layouts today! Well, I had a big scrapping weekend with over 20 layouts completed. So, I have lots to share!

I found a fun sketch on pencil lines and decided to play along!

This one features yummy stuff but most importantly, one of my very favorite pictures of Harrison ever. Just a wee baby, so very cute. LOVE.

you are...

This week's challenge at Studio Calico is to use your words. I LOVED the layout posted so I decided to make the design mine and do something very similar. Here was my take on Nicole's layout:

{supplies: cardstock: bazzill/patterned paper: my little shoebox/letter stickers: studio calico, october afternoon, my little shoebox, and cosmo cricket}

ball camp

For 4 summers my boys have gone to basketball camp at Centennial High School. These pictures were fun to scrap and look back on all of their fun!

Most of this stuff came from this months Studio Calico kit, Candy Shoppe. I LOVED the kit and used pretty much every single item already. There are a handful of things left and I'm ready to retire the kit after 13 pages. (Okay, I also got one add-on, Jawbreaker!)

Sweet 16

The Sketchy Thursdays sketch this week was a super fun one, and I immediately found photos that fit! Yes, from over 2 years ago, but they are still perfect. A simply joyous day, Christie's 16th birthday celebration.

Not too often I get to scrap with pink, so I might as well go all out!

first

It makes me let out a big sigh looking at these pages, thinking about sawyer's first day of kindergarten. don't get me wrong, cam's first day was really hard, just in a completely different way. this was my buddy, my boy, going off to kindergarten. the beginning of the end. i still miss him.

back to school, part 2

Not to be left out, I also did a page about Sawyer's first day of school in 2008. KINDERGARTEN! My little buddy went to school. Real school. I protested.

back to school, part 1

A few weeks ago I ordered hundreds of photos for scrapping. Today, I was going through the MASSIVE pile of photos (all from 2008!) and I found the ones I wanted. Cam's first day of second grade.

My, how he's changed!

Here's the right side since it's cut off above:

lots of fun for a BOY

I knew the moment I saw this weeks Sketchy Thursday sketch that the pictures I took at the park would be PERFECT. They were the right shape and the images just spoke to me. Enter, our morning at El Cerrito Sports Park!

beach football

One day last summer, the boys and I went to the beach with some friends. The unusual part? We took Ricky and his friend Justin with us. I thought that the bigs would be all over this. Cam did love boogie boarding with Ricky.

What surprised me most? Harrison playing football with the BIG boys.

What's special about this layout besides the photos and the memories? My first Studio Calico kit, officially. And, my first experience with mist. I think it's love.

I love your SPUNK

WOW. Look at baby Harrison...not even quite one. But, already, full of spunk. Those sure were the days. Now, we're a wee bit more challenging! ;) (Still as cute, though!)

There was a fun sketch posted on the My Minds Eye blog and I decided to play along since I'd just bought these fun papers from the Fine and Dandy line. I am pretty sure it's my favorite line to date...

{everything is MME except for the letter stickers, those are American Crafts}

On the Studio Calico blog there was a challenge to scrap photos from 5 years ago this month. I loved the idea, since those photos are long ago scrapped.

I had a lot to choose from when I went back to February 2006, but I chose a set that actually had me in them! Andy's 30th birthday!

{everything is My Minds Eye, except the letter stickers and cardstock, which are American Crafts and Bazzill, respectively}

brother

I created this one for the Sketchy Thursdays March Designer of the month contest. I used my favorite pictures of the bigs, some of my favorite photos and whipped up a layout I'm really happy about! These two are some of the greatest boys and I am happy to have created a layout that captures their special bond!

cutest

Unfortunately for me, this photo just didn't really turn out. I tried it a couple of different ways and this was the best I got.

Anyway, one more example why Harrison is just the cutest. Unfortunately for him, he's pretty sick right now, but he's still cute, sick or not!

The longest I've gone

So far this month I've been updating this blog regularly...this past weekend was an exception. No time for scrapping as we had 3 birthday parties AND I went to CHA for a day. WOOHOO! So, here's a recent layout, a (surprise, surprise) trip to Disneyland!
